What is a Co-op?

Cooperative living is a careful blend of private ownership and worry-free community living. Your membership offers you an opportunity to participate in the decision-making or elect other members to represent your interests. Exterior maintenance, such as lawn care, snow removal, building repair and trash pick-up, are covered by a reasonable monthly housing charge which also includes heat and hot water.

Membership has its privileges and responsibilities. We carefully check all applicants' credit and employment histories as well as family income because all members must meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by the
Department of Housing and Urban Development. We also require a non-refundable credit report fee (by money order) at the time of application. Finally, new members pay a membership fee (similar to a security deposit) prior to move-in.

The result: membership is a special community of which we are very proud.
